Fascia & Roofline Trim
The straight line that finishes your roof.
Fascia
What it is and why it matters
Fascia is the board that runs along the roof edge, capping the rafter tails and carrying the gutters. It's the line every passerby sees, and it's also the first thing water finds when gutters overflow.
Keeping fascia sound protects the roof decking and rafters right behind it, which is where small problems turn into expensive ones.

What we handle
- Replacing rotted or water-damaged fascia boards
- Rake and gable trim
- A solid, straight edge for gutters to hang from
- Fascia finished to match new roofing or siding
- Closing gaps where animals get in behind the board
Signs it's time
- Paint peeling or wood soft to the touch along the roof edge
- Gutters pulling away or sagging
- Water stains on the fascia or the siding below it
- Gaps, holes or chewed spots at the roofline

What causes fascia to rot?
Almost always water: overflowing or clogged gutters, missing drip edge, or paint that failed and let moisture into the wood. Replacing the board without fixing the cause just resets the clock, so we look at both.
Is fascia damage a roofing problem?
It can become one. Fascia sits right at the roof edge, so rot there can spread into the decking and rafter tails. Catching it early usually keeps the repair small.
Do I need new gutters if the fascia gets replaced?
Not necessarily. Gutters that are still in good shape can often be reused. We'll talk it through when we look at the job.
