Metal Roofing

A roof built for four-state weather.

Metal Roofs

What it is and why it matters

A metal roof sheds rain, handles wind and stands up to Ozarks summers in a way asphalt shingles struggle to match.

It's a natural fit for homes, barndominiums, shops and barns, and it comes in a wide range of colors to suit the building and the siding around it.

What we handle

  • Metal roofs for homes and barndominiums
  • Shops, barns and outbuildings
  • Porches, carports and covered patios
  • Tear-offs and replacements of worn roofs
  • Ridge, trim and flashing details finished clean

Signs it's time

  • Leaks, water stains or daylight in the attic
  • Shingles curling, cracking or shedding granules
  • Rust, backed-out screws or lifted panels on an old metal roof
  • A roof you're tired of patching every storm season

Questions

Metal Roofs FAQ

Something else on your mind? Call (417) 592-2961 and ask.

Is a metal roof loud when it rains?

Over a solid roof deck with underlayment and an insulated attic, most people find it no louder than shingles. On an open-framed barn or carport you'll hear more, which plenty of folks actually like.

Can metal roofing go over my existing shingles?

In some cases, depending on the condition of the roof deck, how many layers are already up there, and local requirements. A tear-off is often the better call. We'll look at it and explain the options.

What's the difference between exposed-fastener metal and standing seam?

Exposed-fastener panels are screwed through the face of the panel and cost less up front. Standing seam hides its fasteners under raised seams for a cleaner look and fewer holes in the roof. See our standing seam page for more.
